Hospital Management Asia 2026 Brings Healthcare Leaders Together in Bangkok to Drive Change That Delivers Better Outcomes

Hospital Management Asia (HMA) 2026 will bring together healthcare leaders, hospital executives, policymakers, clinicians and healthcare innovators from across Asia and beyond to explore how the region’s healthcare systems can move from innovation to meaningful, measurable change.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, HMA 2026 will take place in Bangkok from 2-4 September under the theme “Leading Change that Delivers.” The conference will address the operational and strategic challenges facing hospitals today, from workforce transformation and patient safety to artificial intelligence, digitalization, patient experience, quality improvement and sustainable healthcare delivery.

Despite significant investment in digital transformation, hospitals continue to face fundamental challenges including medication errors, hospital-acquired infections, patient falls, pressure ulcers and long waiting times for doctors, beds and discharge. HMA 2026 will therefore focus not only on what new technologies can do, but also on how healthcare organizations can transform the operational and cultural processes required to turn innovation into better patient and organizational outcomes.

The event will open with perspectives from Thailand’s healthcare leadership, including the representative from the Ministry of Public Health, Akarathan Jitnuyanont, M.D., Deputy Director General of the Department of Medical Services, and the Thailand Private Hospital Association. The programme will examine the future direction of healthcare in Thailand while connecting local priorities with developments across the wider Asian healthcare landscape. The second day of HMA 2026 will feature an opening keynote panel on “The Future of Thailand’s Healthcare, and Leadership Perspectives from Thailand’s leading hospitals”.

Dr. Paiboon Eksaengsri, President, Private Hospital Association Thailand, said:
“The future of Thailand’s healthcare sector will depend on our ability to balance quality of care, patient expectations, operational sustainability and continued innovation. Private hospitals have an important role to play in advancing healthcare standards while working collaboratively across the ecosystem. HMA 2026 provides an important opportunity for Thailand to share its experience with regional leaders and, equally importantly, learn from approaches being developed across Asia.”

One of the central themes of HMA 2026 will be the practical application of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in healthcare. The programme will explore AI-powered clinical risk assessment, evidence-based decision-making, digital clinical pathways and the opportunities and risks associated with generative and agentic AI. A dedicated pre-conference workshop will also examine how these technologies can be applied across hospital operations, clinical support and administrative functions, while addressing data governance, privacy, implementation readiness and human oversight.

Fabrice Leguet, Managing Director, Southeast Asia, Siemens Healthineers, said:
“Healthcare transformation is entering a new phase where technology must move beyond innovation for innovation’s sake and demonstrate clear clinical, operational and economic value. Across Southeast Asia, we see significant opportunities to use data, AI and advanced technologies to improve decision-making, streamline workflows and support healthcare professionals. The key is to combine technology with the right processes, skills and leadership so that innovation can be translated into outcomes that matter to hospitals and patients.”

Patient experience will also remain a critical priority as healthcare organizations rethink how care is delivered. HMA 2026 will examine patient-centered care models, communication, triage optimization, bed management, continuous care and the role of technology in creating more seamless patient journeys.

As Hospital Management Asia marks its 25th anniversary, the event will reinforce its role as a regional platform for healthcare leaders to collaborate, share evidence and develop practical approaches to the challenges shaping the future of healthcare.

Richard Ireland, CEO, Clarion Events Asia, said: “For 25 years, Hospital Management Asia has provided a platform for healthcare leaders across the region to exchange ideas, challenge conventional thinking and learn from one another. As healthcare enters a period of profound transformation, the priority is no longer simply to identify the next innovation, but to understand how to implement it effectively and deliver real value. HMA 2026 is about bringing leaders together to turn evidence, technology and experience into action that makes a meaningful difference to healthcare systems and, ultimately, to patients.”
