Amid severe flooding that has impacted many areas of Southern Thailand, particularly Songkhla province, which has suffered extensive damage, The Shell Company of Thailand Limited has acted swiftly to support relief operations and alleviate the hardship faced by affected communities. Shell has contributed fuel worth 500,000 baht to the Ministry of Defense (MOD)’s Frontline Disaster Relief Center to power urgent rescue and evacuation missions in flood-affected areas.
This fuel support enables officials to reach at-risk zones and assist in evacuating residents under increasingly challenging conditions, including restricted routes, time constraints, and rapidly rising water levels.
Ms. Ornuthai Na Chiangmai, Country Chair, The Shell Company of Thailand Limited, said, “We have been closely monitoring the flood situation in the South and are deeply aware of the difficulties and safety concerns faced by local communities. This contribution underscores Shell’s commitment to being a Trusted Partner to all, standing alongside Thai society during difficult times. We hope the MOD’s Frontline Disaster Relief Center can proceed quickly and efficiently, providing timely assistance to those affected by the floods and ensuring the safety of people facing this severe crisis.”
Shell expresses its heartfelt concern for everyone in the South affected by the recent floods and urges all to stay safe. The company remains hopeful that the situation will return to normal soon and extends its sincere appreciation to all sectors and workers for their tireless efforts and cooperation in supporting affected communities.
