Born in 1997 in Japan’s Wakayama Prefecture, Mifuu Oda studied Art Planning at Osaka University of Arts. She graduated in 2020.
The artist developed a keen interest in arts during her childhood. Inspired by her passion, she has continuously improved her artistic skills ever since with acrylics being her main medium in the past three years.
Her paintings draw inspirations from emotions, including joy, happiness and sadness, the different shades of sky, the beauty of flowers, and all the fragrances that are up in the air.
“Cute” female characters in Japanese animes and mangas have also influenced Mifuu Oda’s abstract expressions.
“I express myself via the symbolic image of a “girl”, created through the shades of acrylic paint and the touch of a painting knife and color mixing. My paintings reflect the fluctuating and trembling mind of a girl,” she said.
Mifuu Oda has already displayed her artistic talents at many exhibitions across the world, including Japan, South Korea, China, the United States and France. This November, she will unveil her latest works for the first time in Thailand.
